Last Saturday, my daughter, Jessica, and I took a beginner’s sewing class together. While I have some knowledge and experience, Jessica only has a little. We had a lot of fun and each came away with this small smart bag for out time.
It was a neat class. The fusible interfacing had the pattern printed on it and the directions were pretty simple. I think I can size up the pattern to make a bigger bag. I just need to buy some fusible interfacing.
Jessica took the time to hand sew the last bit of the lining making her bag reversible, while I just used the machine to sew mine. It was also the first time that I had ever used a truly expensive sewing machine as the one I have here at the house is a cheap one I bought 7-8 years ago.
I had a lot of fun and I can’t wait for my hand embroidery class coming up this Sunday!!
